Do you have any other infor for someone who wants to get started in the wedding planning biz? I'd love to see a post on that.

Hi Eric:
Actually - I do. On my website, , there is an entire section devoted to becoming a wedding consultant. I encourage you to check it out!

But....I'll leave this thought:
The bottom line is simple - being a wedding planner is not what it appears to be. Yeah - television, movies and books may make it look glamorous - but truth be told, it's far from that.

People who are interested in this as a profession need to be very clear as to why they want it. The fact that you planned your own wedding and loved it is NOT a good reason - trust me. You have to be willing to develop your multi-tasking skills, deal with "interesting" people every day and still manage to make an event go "WOW" for your clients and their guests - while staying on budget. And if you've never done that before - be prepared for a serious, eye opening experience...
