I've done corporate events planning in the past. Now I focus on image and beauty.

I just recently planned my own wedding that went GREAT! Now I have people asking me to plan their special moment.

I've been looking for information on "how to charge" for planning services. Do you go by a strict percentage of cost to figure out your fee, or do your have set prices for each service level you provide?

Knowing what to charge a client is probably one of the hardest things to grasp professionally - it's really based on a few factors such as geography, amount of work required and of course, your skill level. Doing research in all of these area may be the best way to get a better feel of what a fair fee structure is.

Our company offers flat rate fees -as I don't feel that percentages offer the client any thing of value. The fee I charge is based upon what needs to be done - not how much money someone has (or doesn't) to spend...........
